On July 9th, I will be part of a group of storytellers telling scary stories at the Edmonton Municipal Cemetery. This program will be hosted by Stephanie Benger, and will also include stories by Pearl-Ann Gooding, Dawn Blue, Laura O'Connor, and Bethany Ellis. I don't know how scary the other stories are, but Stephanie asked me to retell 'The Night Doctors', which I have been told is one of the scariest of the ones I tell at Spooktacular (where we try to be really scary) so I think the even will be limited to adults and teens 13+ for a good reason.
The cemetery is at 118th Street and 107 Avenue, and the event starts at 8:30. Tickets are $20 cash. For more information, you can contact Stephanie at (780)489-9621 or sbenger@shaw.ca
On a completely off topic note, the Haiku word of the day for today over on the Write Idea forum is 'deciduous.' I thought, in honour of Canada Day, I'd share my haiku:
While the land is green
We wave flags glorifying
Deciduousness.
